The Hope Wagons Story

Once upon a time, there was a beggar outside Trader Joe's. Shiloh noticed him. "Would you like to get some food with me," Shiloh asked, expectantly. "I got in a fight, I can't go in," Joe explained. "Well, what would you like," Shiloh asked. Joe wanted a chicken wrap. Shiloh went in and selected the chicken wrap but also found a sign. Bananas: 23¢. He selected two bananas. He noticed roma tomatoes were too. "Tomatoes are gross," he thought, "but he can eat them anyway." So he resolved to get two tomatoes, a chicken wrap, and, little did he know at the time, two important bananas.

Shiloh gave this food happily at Joe. As he walked away, a miracle occured: he realized "AI's going to take away all these jobs - more people need to be doing this kind of thing!"

Shiloh gave 30 bananas, then 150, then bought 2 wagons. He honed in on the Giving Bananas brand. Then he spent 3 months wasting time... changing strategies... working diligently to maximize impact... landing on becoming a Food Rescue Organization (FRO) only to one day wake up and realize... everything costs money.

Bananas he could today! He didn't have to overthink about the billions of dollars it would cost to feed every food insecure person in the whole USA bananas. He just had to realize he should spend the little money he had on....... Bananas.

So he bought 300 bananas and gave them to people in the Tenderloin. The next day, he asked his friends if they'd help buy bananas. So he bought 408 bananas. Then his best friend Chad showed up with a huge inheritance. He found out he was going to buy 1,739 bananas!!!! Bananas! Shiloh was so excited! Meanwhile, another guy wanted to donate and another guy invited him to share his banana idea with their church. And the rest is history.
