Our Goal

We are ambitious here at Hope Wagons with the goal to exceed the food giving capacity of Glide and Saint Anthony's combined. They are our two large food pantries in the Tenderloin. Their total monthly operating expenses exceed $30 million each. We need to consistently give 7,000+ bananas a day to reach our goal and exceed their capacity. That's 2,500,000+ bananas a year but will cost less than $50,000 a month to buy them. And we use very affordable wagons to give them away so... no building cost.

The founder's 40th birthday is on May 23, 2026. His initial goal was to exceed St Anthony's capacity by that date but due to his best friend, Chad, agreeing to use his inheritance to give $1 for every $1 someone else donated, he now thinks he can do both by then!
